Brad Moore
Managing Director
Brad is a Co-Founder of Operation Orphan and Managing Director.
Originally from Zimbabwe, Brad is thrilled to be supporting orphans and vulnerable children in his home town as well as in fifteen other countries through the charity's projects. His claim to fame is being bitten on the bum by a lion when he was a kid - when you meet him, ask him to tell you that story!
Cyrilyn Moore
Director of Communications
Cyrilyn is a Co-Founder of the charity and Communications Director. Her passion is to raise the profile of Operation Orphan, enabling the charity to create a brighter future for more orphans around the world. Cyrilyn comes from South Wales and is a huge fan of sunshine, so if you ever go on a Global Expedition with Cyrilyn, expect to see her face in the sun as much as possible!
Dave Hearn

Originally from the states, Dave joins the team with specialist expertise in intelligence as well as plenty of experience in working on the front line. In fact, his claim to fame is to have been part of the Crisis Response Team's first ever UK deployment. Dave worked in a HazMat suit in 30 degree weather installing beds for Forget-Me-Notts during the first lockdown!
Caitlin Sayce

Heather Sharp

Heather joined the Operation Orphan team in April 2014 and plays a vital role supporting the administrative functions of the office. Originally taking on the coordination role of Keep a Child Warm, she transitioned to her new role in Forget-Me-Notts during the pandemic. Heather loves anything BRIGHT and sits at a bright pink desk! Her love for colour reflects her bright and positive personality and we love having her in our team.
Aaron Sedgwick
Recycling Technician
Coming to us initially as a volunteer, Aaron has tried his hand at building beds and delivering referrals through Forget-Me-Notts and is now supporting Waste Nott Want Nott by collecting and processing waste for recycling. Aaron is incredibly hardworking, and his passion to help the children in whatever way is needed makes him such a valuable team member.
Hefin Taylor-Gorham

Hefin started volunteering with us in the spring of 2022 during the height of our Ukraine appeal. Since then, he has joined the team in a more permanent position, helping Waste Nott Want Nott as they develop new recycling methods and supporting core administration processes.
Gwen Morris

Gwen has traded the Welsh countryside for city life studying Psychology at Nottingham Trent and is active in the university hockey team. Gwen has joined us for the year as our new intern! She loves going on referrals to use her new drill skills as well as greeting visitors to the office.
Matt Simpson

Matt is often driving around the streets of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and beyond either delivering and installing referrals or collecting bulky waste and taking it to be recycled through Waste Nott Want Nott.
Matt has a keen interest in photography and you will see his creativity shine through in some of the photos on our social media pages!
Dan Griffith

Dan (the man) joined the team with a strong desire to help others within the community. He can be found out and about delivering referrals or helping keep the warehouse tidy so that all elements of Forget-Me-Notts runs smoothly. Dan’s light-hearted attitude shines through, and he seems to always find a way to have fun amidst any job!

Cath O'Connell

Cath has been part of the team since the charity began. After attending a Global Expedition to Zimbabwe in 2009 she came home with a desire to help and began volunteering her skills as a bookkeeper. As the charity has grown, so have the number of books to keep and she remains an integral part of our core team.
Cath was a member of the Hope Alive Tour 2022 team and is keen to do it again! She says the tour was a “fantastic few days, with fantastic people and all for a fantastic cause! Same time next year??!”
