The Hope Alive Tour is a charity challenge like no other.
Treading in the footprints of the great anti-slavery campaigner William Wilberforce, it pitches a team of runners on an incredible 340-mile UK relay adventure. Throughout the four-day journey of a lifetime, the Tour explores and raises the issues of modern child slavery, and directly empowers Operation Orphan to keep children safe.
"Experience of a lifetime, loved every minute" - Runner from the Hope Alive Tour 2017.
If you are a runner, then the Tour is for you.
Each relay leg is between 3-10 miles and flexible according to team members’ needs and abilities - finishing as a team is the goal, not breaking a world record.
UK Hope Alive Tour
Eight to ten runners complete a four-day relay from Hull to Cambridge, via Liverpool and Nottingham. Each city is significant to Wilberforce, slavery in the 1800’s, and Operation Orphan.

We have no dates in the diary at the moment, but watch this space or contact our team for updates!
How do I apply?
You can apply to be a runner or a member of our support crew by completing the relevant application form here:
Accepted applications are allocated places on a first-come, first-served basis. Should all places on a Tour be filled, we will notify you immediately and discuss alternative options.
International Hope Alive Tour
For those who want to take the journey even further! Our international options offer the opportunity to add on a marathon and engagement in social action projects with children in another country.
These options start with the UK leg of the Tour, which remains the same. On completing this leg the team flies to another country, where they run a marathon together, taking as long as necessary to complete the distance. These routes give the runners a unique perspective of amazing new countries, before linking up with Operation Orphan projects to support local vulnerable children.
