There are so many different ways to volunteer with the charity wherever you live. We need all the help we can get to help every child stay safe and warm.
Drive for us
Volunteer by driving a van and collecting warm clothing and in-kind donations from all over the country. (You WILL need a full UK driving licence for this one!)
Help in the warehouse
For most of the year our warehouse has something to keep you busy; sorting clothes, stock taking the latest donation of school wear or sizing and packing blankets.
Manage a collection box
A great way of 'volunteering from a distance' - this is something you can do whether you live locally to Nottingham or not!
Become an Ambassador
Have you opened up your networks to Operation Orphan? Do you find yourself chatting about the charity in the most random of places? Well, maybe you could become an Operation Orphan Ambassador.
Duke of Edinburgh Award
We welcome individuals and groups who would like to complete their DofE volunteering section with us.
Knit some Love
Blankets are needed to keep children physically warm but they also allow them to feel safe and loved by providing a valuable emotional connection. If you can knit or crochet, then we need you.
Global Expeditions
An opportunity to make new friends, try new food, see new sights whilst making a positive impact.
Organise a Winter Coat Collection
Schools, businesses, individuals (with a big network!) - anyone can get involved. You don't have to be local to Nottingham; we'll pick up bulk coat collections from almost anywhere.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Team Building
We love to welcome teams who want to help! There are a number of ways that your company can get involved.
