That's a wrap everyone!
This Christmas, we received a request of 3770 selection boxes to gift to our local vulnerable children. Thanks to everyone’s amazing contribution to support our appeal, we managed to fulfill every single request and gifted all 3770 chocolate goodies to different social workers and care groups to distribute to thousands of children across the East Midlands.
Last week, we successfully delivered the final 2685 selection boxes and we are so thankful for everyone who took part this year to help make a difference! None of this would be possible without all of the support we received from our community. We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our office to donate any number of selection boxes, whether it was 1 or 10 chocolate gifts for the children, we are so grateful for everything we received to help. Simply from these individual donations, we gathered 1016 selection boxes altogether! This goes to show that even the smallest things are helpful when towards a goal.
Thank you to the team at Worldline for collecting and wrapping 26 selection boxes, we are so thankful and truly appreciate the kind gesture to help support us.
We'd like to say a massive thank you to Ikano for collecting and wrapping 644 selection boxes! This amazing team always offers us a helping hand and continues to go above and beyond our expectations - we are so grateful for their continuous support over the years.
A huge thank you to the staff and students at George Spencer Academy who collected and wrapped 140 selection boxes to support our Christmas appeal! We would also like to thank our Duke of Edinburgh students, Bella, Susie, Zara, and Rowan, for helping us wrap the chocolate gifts during their volunteering sessions. They have been great representatives of GSA so far and we are happy to have such lovely girls supporting the team, well done!
We’d also like to thank the team at Harper who have done an outstanding job, yet again, as they have successfully collected and wrapped approximately 400 selection boxes to support us! Harper have been continuous supporters of Operation Orphan and we are so thankful to have their support.
We would like to thank the Boots Opticians Finance Team at the Boots Support Office in Beeston for collecting and wrapping 100 selection boxes for us! They did a brilliant job at wrapping the gifts and also kindly wrapped a few of our leftover selection boxes.
We would like to thank the Beeston Ladies Circle for collecting 100 selection boxes for us, and wrapping 200 gifts! Not only that, but we would also like to thank you for electing us as your charity of the year! Thank you for being so supportive of what we do.
We are so thankful for the team at Enva who donated roughly 400 selection boxes to support our Christmas appeal! They have also been a great help with our Waste-Nott-Want-Nott project - our partnership with them has enabled us to expand and grow our business tremendously. Thus, we are so thankful for everything Enva has done to support us.
We would also like to thank The Nottingham Group, once again, for wrapping 400 of our selection boxes last minute! When we received an unexpected donation of 400 selection boxes and had nobody to help wrap the gifts, the team was quick to take on the challenge and did a beautiful job. Not only that, but they also collected and wrapped 110 selection boxes to support our 1st distribution (which you can read about on our previous blog). We are so grateful to have such a brilliant team supporting us - thank you once again!
We would like to say a big thank you to the team at Silver X for being so supportive of our Christmas appeal this year! Not only did they collect and wrap 100 selection boxes for us, but they also tagged along with our Forget-Me-Notts team to help distribute the chocolate gifts to different care groups all over Nottingham! We are so grateful for everything they have done to support our charity as a whole.
Finally, we would like to thank everyone who financially donated to support us - we have a surplus of £720 which will be used to help our Easter project next year. Thus, do not worry! Your kind donation will still be used to gift our local vulnerable children something special during the holiday seasons.
As you can see, a lot of preparation has been embedded into this project which helped us reach our target goal of 3770 selection boxes. We started preparing for our Christmas appeal since mid September; it is so satisfying to reflect on everyone’s hard work and seeing everything fall into place.
Overall, it has been a long, but incredibly worthwhile, journey with you all - thank you so much for helping us achieve our goal, I hope you have a lovely Christmas and New Year! Many thanks, Nicole x
