And just like that, Christmas is here!

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all doing well! My name Is Hefin, and I am this year’s intern at Operation Orphan. I am so excited for the year ahead and cannot wait to work together with you all helping orphaned and vulnerable children here in the UK 😊

Our Christmas tradition of distributing Cadbury’s selection boxes to children here in the UK is going strong for another year, and our team has begun cutting paper for the thousands of selection boxes that will be wrapped!

We have been asked for almost 4,500 gifts which is a record-breaking number of requests received. With the cost of living crisis, there are more and more families who are in need of support. Our goal is to fulfil as many of these requests as we can, and we need everyone’s help to do so. For so many of these children, this may be the only Christmas present they receive for the year.

Collections have already begun, and we are so grateful for our corporate partners, community groups, and individual supporters who are collecting and wrapping selection boxes, or donating the funds to help provide a gift.

There are so many different ways you can support this program and give a gift to a vulnerable child this Christmas: get in touch to find out more about hosting your own collection, or feel free to swing by the office and drop in a box or two. If you are unable to donate physical boxes, there is also the option of donating financially (link below).

Massive thank yous to everyone who is supporting this year’s Christmas project and to everyone who has supported in the past. All of us play such an important role in providing a gift to our community’s vulnerable children, and together we will be able to provide these kids a sweet treat for Christmas, showing them they haven’t been forgotten.
