Forget-Me-Notts Team Day!
We had a brilliant second-ever full team day focusing on Forget-Me-Notts and all of the different aspects which make up our UK based project.
10 years ago, Operation Orphan took on Forget-Me-Notts which focused on providing local vulnerable children with a gift at Christmas and Easter. Since then, it has grown into a referral based system which tackles bed poverty and provides essential and practical support to in-need families along with seasonal gifts.
Heather, our Forget-Me-Notts coordinator, gave a wonderful presentation shedding more insight into her role and explaining how the project has changed over the years to best suit the needs of the community.
As we are in the middle of Christmas, it only felt right to get the team involved in wrapping some selection boxes, so that’s just what we did!
While Christmas tunes were playing, chocolates were being snacked on (not selection box chocolates, not too worry), and Brad was on tape duties, we wrapped a ton of selection boxes ready for Christmas gift distributions.
The day was finished off by sorting out our warehouse space and preparing for new systems taking place within our referral scheme.
It was wonderful to get to spend the day together and learn a little bit more about Forget-Me-Notts :)
There was even time for a cheeky few games of ping pong- what fun!
