All prepped for our 1st Easter egg distribution!
We’ve received a large request of 1165 Easter eggs for our 1st Easter egg distribution. We are happy to announce that we have successfully met this target goal, all thanks to the amazing support we’ve received so far!
Every Easter, we receive requests from social workers and care groups asking for Easter egg gifts to distribute to the vulnerable children across the East Midlands. These gifts remind the children that they are not forgotten and are a lovely, thoughtful gift for a child to receive.
This year, we received a large request of 3613 Easter eggs from both social workers and care groups. As this is a large sum, we have divided our deliveries into 2 distribution dates: our 1st date targets social workers’ requests, whereas the 2nd date targets other care groups. In total, social workers have requested 1165 Easter eggs, whereas care groups have requested for 2448 Easter eggs. As social workers target the children who are most vulnerable and at risk, we prioritize these requests and make sure to fulfill all of them.
We are so thrilled to have completed our first target goal of 1165 Easter eggs and we are excited to deliver them on Wednesday to the social workers. All of the Easter eggs going to social workers were collected by our community! We did not have to pay for any additional Easter eggs for this deadline, so thank you all so much for making this possible. It is a amazing to see our community join together to support our local vulnerable children.
Thank you to everybody who stopped by our office to donate some Easter eggs; from individual donations alone, we managed to collect a total of 134 Easter eggs! So, well done everyone!
As you can see, we include a sticker with every Easter egg to let the children know that these are gifts from their local community.
We would also like to give special thanks to the following people as they have massively helped us with our Easter appeal this year:
