Next two homes underway!

The roof is almost complete on one and the other is only a small way behind. 

The builders, all local labourers, are working incredibly hard to complete as much as they can before the rains come and slow down the work.  

Everything that you can see is made and constructed by hand, there is no machinery at all on site!  Each brick is made by hand using wood blocks and then left to dry in the sun.  They then dig the foundations, lay in large stones, mix the cement, and build up, all by hand!! While I was there I saw them working and was blown away by their strength, commitment and grit.  Let’s hope that they get both the roofs finished before the rains come and that even more children are able to move into their new homes.
