Packing Week 2019!

It’s that time of year again! For the eighth year running we set off to Chilwell Sixth form for another fun-filling, packing week!

Alongside the Operation Orphan staff, we had a remarkable group of sixth form students and some lovely volunteers, working together to sort clothes and pack boxes. We were inspired by how instantly everyone embraced the challenging jobs like lifting and loading the van; everyone had such enthusiasm, tenacity and dedication, despite the stubborn sweltering heat (especially once they’d been fuelled with ice lollies)!

Altogether an incredible 529 bulging boxes were packed, bursting with all your kind donations of winter coats, warm clothing and knitted blankets, which will soon be on their way to Moldova and Romania!  Our team will be heading out to Moldova in October to distribute these by hand, which we are very excited about – we cannot wait to share our stories and photos with you!

Every year our packing week gets more and more successful, which means our Keep a Child Warm project is forever flourishing. But of course – we could not do it without you! We are always so grateful for all the help we receive throughout the year, as well as all the thoughtful, generous donations we receive!

Thank you!
