Dragon School Fundraisers

On Friday 10th May, Year 4 at The Dragon School faced their toughest challenge yet; together they ran 277km (2.77km each) to raise money for three very worthwhile charities, Operation Orphan, Future Hope and Save the Waterberg Rhino. Supported by many parents and helpers who came out to spur them on, over 100 children covered the distance in continuous relays from the Dragon School in Oxford to the UK bases of their chosen charities and then to another local school, Pegasus, and back. The teamwork, dedication and enthusiasm from the children was inspirational as they worked incredibly hard to cover the distance.

The final total received by Operation Orphan was a huge £2,424.05! Thank you so much to all the children who took part. These funds will go towards our Keep a Child Warm initiative, distributing warm winter clothing and shoes to orphans and vulnerable children in Eastern and Central Europe.
