Bog-eyed Jog
In June staff and pupils at Eccleston Primary School worked really hard to raise funds for Pencott Valley Primary School in Uganda.
The school council decided to hold a bog-eyed jog. All the children arrived at school in the morning wearing their pyjamas and jogged around the school field. They were then treated to breakfast in school to make sure they had enough energy for the day! Teaching staff also wanted to take part in raising more money for Pencott, so on the same day they all took turns in riding an exercise bike in school. They were sponsored by family and friends and parents and visitors to school could also donate money on the day. It was a fantastic event. Everyone put in their best efforts and they managed to raise a fantastic £464. 27. We were delighted to present Cyrilyn and Jess from Operation Orphan with the donation to Pencott Valley Primary School to support them in the fantastic work they do.
