Guess what? It's packing day!
Last Thursday, we successfully sorted through all of your lovely donations with the help of our fantastic volunteers! We’re so happy to have boxed everything in preparation for our next distribution - hooray!
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated towards our cause; whether it be items of clothing, blankets, or even financial support, we are blessed to have received all of your support and we truly are thankful. Without your help, we wouldn’t be able to work towards establishing long-term support for the vulnerable children we help. We sincerely thank you!
Last Thursday, our team hosted a large packing day where volunteers helped us pack your donations into boxes for distribution. We would like to thank the Waste-Nott-Want-Nott team, alongside our DofE volunteers, for helping us load our van with bags of donations.
We would also like to thank the Chilwell and Attenborough Scouts for kindly letting us use their Scout Hall free of charge. This sweet gesture has been a huge help with our packing days - we have very limited capacity at our base which makes it difficult packing boxes of aid.
Our team sorted the room according to the structure of our base in Moldova - this helped us sort the donations appropriately. We make sure to separate clothing by age, alongside gender, before sealing the boxes of donations.
We would like to thank ‘The Nottingham Building Society’ and ‘Monarch’ for volunteering with us for the day and helping us pack our donations. Without their help, we would not have been able to sort through all of our donations! Just look at the pile!
Overall, it was an extremely successful day! We are in shock of how much we managed to sort through during the day and we look forward to delivering these boxes on our upcoming distribution. Please note that it is difficult for us to direct donations to specific countries, therefore we cannot determine where they will be heading to. However, we can promise that they will definitely help a child in need!
