Baby Boxes
It was an absolute joy a couple of weeks ago to be able to help out a couple of low income families with some things for their new babies.
While sorting through clothing in the warehouse I had a call from one of our care providers connected to us through our Forget-Me-Notts project. There were asking if we might be able to help out as they had two families who had just moved in and were both about to have their first babies. These new parents had nothing to get them started. So we set about searching for some bits and pieces to make their lives a little easier.
A HUGE thank you must be said to Claire and everyone who donated items from National Childbirth Trust, Nottingham. We were able to find some beautiful items of clothing which were donated after one of their Nearly New Sales. We also popped in some nappies and a couple of other items that people have donated to help.
What a pleasure to be able to bless vulnerable families in this way – Forget-Me-Notts is finally expanding to include other ways of communicating to vulnerable children and babies that they are not forgotten and that people do care.
