A lovely visit from Granby & Sutton WI
Today we had a lovely visit from representatives of Granby & Sutton Women’s Institute!
It was wonderful to hear all that they have been doing for Forget Me Notts. They brought in many thick, warm blankets for the children we support.
In the time we spent chatting, these lovely ladies thought of many creative ways to support our charity! Over a cup of coffee they planned their next knitted blankets, possibly buying new duvets and even buying storage boxes.
We are so grateful for the ongoing support of this group and for their active involvement in what we do.
A point they made really stuck with me – buying or making personal items not only helps the children to have a sense of pride and ownership over something beautiful, but it also helps those who donate to see the very real impact they are making. A tangible item that they can hold and pass on to these children to keep them warm, can bring immense purpose and pride to those who invest their time and skills into making them. A gift both ways!
If you are interested in donating to the Forget Me Notts project, or even knitting a blanket, please follow the link below or call our office and we can chat about moving forward!
We are always so deeply moved by your support and effort in making children’s lives that little bit warmer.
